Bikes are important to us, but above bikes are the people who ride them and collectively make this sport worth participating in and dedicating our lives to. A group of riders in the greater Helena, Montana area, made up of locals and implants, have organized into a community of trail builders and racers. People dedicated to the skill and growth of riding bicycles for both themselves and others in their community. Our Objectives are as follows:
Infrastructure: Primary objectives of the team are to create gravity oriented biking trails as well as develop a venue which will eventually be able to host events and also a periodic (weekly or bi-monthly) local race series.
Competition: The formation of the Guild is a necessary step towards adequate representation at regional race events in the Mountain States and throughout the Northwest. This representation pertains to team unity, at-race support and a conveyance of information concerning race dates, locations and transportation issues associated with travel to and from races.
Community Involvement: Paramount to the team’s mission, it is a primary goal of the team to promote active community involvement with and enthusiasm for gravity riding and racing through responsible trail building and maintenance, local race participation for all ability and age groups and cycling-based community promotions such as fundraisers and riding clinics.
